Recyclable Cell Phones for Veterans Overseas:

On behalf of your Veterans Committee and Local 387 we are proud to be a sponsor for recyclable cell phones. The profits generated from the recycled cell phones are used to purchase AT&T phone cards which are sent to Military Personnel overseas. We are pleased to announce that 12,000,000 minutes have been purchased through this re-furbishing program. If you have an old, out dated or cell phone not in service and you would like to donate them to this project, please drop them off at the local anytime during normal business hours which are 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

Book Drive:

The Veterans Committee hosted their annual book drive at the gate on Friday, April 20th.;   between these books collected and the books donated from the plants Learning Lab we collected over 2500 books. On behalf of your Veterans Committee we would like to THANK all who donated books to this worthy cause. These books were given to the Detroit Vet. Center.            

Poppy Drive:

Poppy Drive gate collection was held on Thursday & Friday May 10th. & 11th.  Veterans Committee Members were at the gate assisting Flat Rock, VFW 9363, with the collection. Flat Rock, VFW sends their gratitude and Thanks for your donations.          

Monroe Vet. Center:

The Monroe Vet. Center sent a Thank you for the $222.00 donation from the selling of candy in the crib. Again I would like to thank our crib personnel and Karen Major for their efforts in this project.

Cedar Point Tickets
available at Local 387

 The UAW has negotiated a Michigan United Auto Workers Week at Cedar Point.  Itís scheduled for the weeks of Sunday, July 8, 2007 through Saturday, July 14, 2007.

 Tickets to Cedar Point are reduced to $21.00 for adults (normal price is $41.95), and are available for purchase at Local 387 Union Hall.

 Children 3 and older, under 48 inches tall, and seniors, 62 and older can purchase tickets at the gate for $11.95. Children 2 and under are free.

 are sponsoring a UAW day at Flat Rock Speedway on May 19, 2007 (rain day June 2, 2007).
 

General admission tickets which normally sell for $10.00 each will be offered at the discounted price of $2.00 each. Tickets are available at Local 387 Union Hall 24250 Telegraph Rd. 

Gates open at 4:00 p.m.
Time trials at 5:00 p.m.
Race starts at 7:00 p.m.
(As always parking is free)
